Our jungle band is looking for a name which will not include the word "jungle" or any hints to it, or to any other musical genre. We're doing instrumental jungle/fusion, slightly jazzy, and the catch is that one of the instruments is the human voice, i.e. myself, though it is totally instrumental – no lyrics.
Ideas, anyone?
Also: got me a new job. Starting tomorrow. How did that happen?
(Note: previous first-day-at-job was 6/6. Tomorrow will be 4/4. Is this going somewhere?)
I'll give you my two current favorite band names, because somehow I don't think I'll be fronting that rock band anytime soon: "The Recursive Algorithms" and "Linguistic Penis".
"Modified Nature" sounds interesting to me.

How about The Xylosides or The Proteoglycans?

Well, those are certainly good names, but I wouldn't like my fellow musicians to think I'm a computer geek – which I'm not. I just happen to work in the field. Computers? Yuck!
(Also, the names must work cross-language and be reasonable pronouncable by the common people…)
Programming, what else? It's either that or limerick-writing, and I fear the average salary in the latter field is somewhat below reasonable.
I think I'll save these particular names for such time, in the future, when I decide publish a psychedelic, synthesized sampled electro-abstract album. I might use them as track-names, even. The possibilities!
However, for THIS band, we need something more… user friendly. Maybe even pronouncable.
or "The Fizz", if you feel like going old-school.
